Every student should endeavor to maintain the high tone of the Don Bosco Institution, excelling in good manners and deportment. a) A student who does not aim at formation of character, acquisition of competence or skill and an all-round formation should not attempt to join this institution. b) Discipline is a must in a teaching-learning process hence: Irregular attendance, uninformed disappearance from classes (bunking), bad behavior, disobedience, insubordination, disrespect, habitual idleness, unsolicited interference of any type, copying during examinations and other conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school, such as smoking, use of alcoholic drinks or drugs, are sufficient reasons for suspension or dismissal. c) No student may leave the school premises during class hours, interval or free class periods without permission from the Principal. d) Absence from classes must be justified in writing and if prolonged illness of more then 4 days is the cause, a MEDICAL CERTIFICATE must be submitted. e) Students should be punctual for class. Late comers must get their calendar signed by the teacher in-charge. They will be peported to the Principal if it becomes a regular feature. f) Classrooms will be closed during the break. Students have to return to their respective classrooms on time. g) Students should keep their class rooms clean. h) Damage to the school property must be repaired by the offender/s. i) Students must attend school in full (Prescribed) uniform. Defaulters are liable to be sent home and must produce proper explanation from the parents. The school will not be held responsible if anything untoward happens when a student is sent home for the above-mentioned or other serious reasons. j) Students with less than 80% attendance will not be permitted to continue for the final examination in / through the school. k) A student who does not show academic progress and / or has been habitually undisciplined will not be readmitted to this school and will be counselled to join other institutions that cater to special needs. l) It is forbidden to make any collection without the previous written sanction of Principal. m) The school Handbook must be brought to school daily. n) No pupil will be granted leave without a written application from his/her parents. In every case permission is at the discretion of the Principal. o) Students will not be allowed to meet visitors during class hours without the prior permission of the Principal. p) Students are not permitted to bring mobile phones / other gadgets to the school campus. q) These qadgets are liable to be confiscated and proceeds deposited in the poor Pupils’s Fund. In addition a Suitable fine may also be imposed. r) Students joining this institution are by that very fact, required to accept and observe all the rules and regulations of the School, and undertake to submit to the normal enforcement of the same to the satisfaction of the Principal whose decision in all matters shall be final. A declaration o this effect will have to be signed by the parents at the beginning of the year.
